The four vibraphone players share one instrument, switching between ostinato patterns to create a wash of sound that underpins the glockenspiel melody. The drums keep time as shorter rhythmic cells dance on top. This piece is designed to get the most out of a small amount of gear and an added bonus is the sense of fun and teamwork that comes about from four players sharing one vibraphone.
